It is recommended that you begin with a Private Introductory Session. In this session, an instructor will explain the basic principles of alignment and begin teaching you some fundamental movements in order to familiarize you with class repertoire. From this session you will gain insight into what particular needs your body has and how to address, modify or focus your attention on these during class. It also gives you an opportunity to understand how the Pilates Method can be personalized to your body’s strengths and challenges.
Group Matwork Classes
Matwork classes are a great way to learn foundations of the Pilates Method. These classes are offered by level of understanding and experience in Pilates practice. We are committed to keeping a low client-Instructor ratio in order to maximize your understanding.
Group Equipment Classes
Equipment classes entail working in groups of 3 – 6 with a certified instructor on the specialized pilates apparatus. Participants are required to have a good basic knowledge of the Pilates Method before attending these classes. We reserve the right to oblige an individual to complete a number of private sessions with either a certified or an apprentice instructor in order to ensure safety on the equipment and your progress throughout the program.
Pilates Equipment classes offer the opportunity for clients to reap the benefits of the Pilates apparatus in a group setting and can be partnered with mat classes or private lessons to create a well rounded exercise regimen.
